I was thinking that I would start a thread to where anybody can post any "helpful hints" they come upon that could ease a scrapblogger troubles.

When tagging a scrapblog, dont you wonder why you are always told, "no spaces" well if you havent figured it out already and wondering why you scrapblog doesnt show up when you click on the tag; its because you added a space.

I recently clicked on a tag and nothing showed up. I cleared my caches and still nothing...its because it had a "space".

Ex. "greys anatomy" with a space doesnt work but
"greysanatomy" without the space works.

Hey everyone! For those who don't know me, I'm Mike. I'm the Director of User Experience here at Scrapblog, which is a fancy way of saying that I'm in charge of the design of Scrapblog.com and the Scrapblog Builder.

I want to open things up a bit, and hear some of your ideas on how we can improve the Scrapblog website. When I say website, I am *not* referring to the Builder, but rather the Viewer, My Scrapblogs, Explore, Home, etc.

Where is the vellum?

From time to time, I see pieces of vellum (aka transparencies) on themes, but I can't find them anywhere in stickers or backgrounds. Does anyone know where they're hiding??

Hello, in the old builder i could move a page from the back of the queue to the front or where ever i wanted. Were is this option ? I am building a blog for my daughters first year and i made her 9 month page after her 12 month page and i want to put them in order. I can't find the option to do this anymore. Can anyone help me please? Thank you !

publishing and editing

for some reason, the slides that i published are not the ones that are on my editing screen
the slides that i already deleted still remain in the published view
how do i get rid of those delated slides in the published view when they dont even show up in my editing screen?

Old page versions still show

For a couple of my pages, an old version appears in addition to the updated version when I publish. In other words, two versions of the same page appear in the published scrapblog -- an old one and a new one. Only the new one appears in the editor. How do I get rid of the old pages in the published version? I've tried emptying the browser cache, restarting the browser, etc. No dice.

Slideshow almost never shows current changes

In builder, my album looks perfect. All the pages are in order & the pages I've deleted aren't there. Then I go to view the album as a slideshow and deleted pages are still there, pages are duplicated, and some just don't appear at all. Grrrr!
I've tried publishing after every single save. That doesn't work. I can't ever post my albums on my blog and trust that they'll be current! What's up?

Scrapblog does not load

Our school will be doing a project with over 100 students on using scrapblog. The site will load but the builder and scrapblogs will not appear, except for one or two. In their place is a little box with a red x. If you click on a scrapblog it begins to load, but does not finish.

We have Flash Verison 10.0.22.87 installed. I have turned off pop up blockers and it did not resolve the issue. We are using Kaspersky anti virus and Websense for our school filter.

Has anyone had an issues with Scrapblog through a web filter?

Problem with Bulider! Please help

When i go into the builder & go to my photobucket pictures i can see all my albums but i dont see my main one! for ex if you have a photobucket you know that when you log on & click your user name it brings you to you main usename album. Like if you username was scrapblog22 when you click scrapblog22 there is a main album that was made for you if you jion pb. I cant find it i see all my other albums like Holidays, Christmas, but i dont see my main album. I dont know why.

Safety Tips: Christmas Tree

Hi, I would like to share some tips regarding Christmas tree. Please give your suggestion and experience.

Put your tree far from the heat source.

If you have small children or pets, remove or trim the lower branches or tree.

Hang the breakable ornaments on the top of the tree.

If you are unable to super wise the place where the tree has been placed, keep pets out from the room. Cats are notorious for leaping onto Christmas trees, especially when pursued by another pet.

Turn off tree lights when you go to bed or leave the house.

Use only UL-approved electrical decorations and extension cords, and check to be sure no cords have frayed since you last used the lights.

uploading pictures

I opened the builder tonight for the first time in ages (finally!). I couldn't figure out how to upload pictures. When I choose GET PICTURES in the builder, the only choice I was given was using pictures that were already uploaded. Can someone help me remember how to upload pictures? Thanks!

Free stickers now aren't free???

I was just searching for some stickers (snowflakes)that I have used many times before and now they aren't free anymore....what is happening??? Is SB going to start charging for the stickers that have always been free??? I really hate to see this. I have no problem with the stores and the designers charging for their work....but to take things that were free and start charging for them has me worried. One of the reasons I have told so many people about SB is that you can create something great without spending money. I know SB has to make money too...but surely the sale of printed books and the designer stores would be the way to go. Please tell me this isn't going to get worse!!

I CAN'T ACCESS MY SB SITE DUE TO FOOLISHLY PUTTING FLOATING WITHCHES ON MY FRONT PAGE AND NOW CAN'T GET INTO MY ACCOUNT TO DELETE THEM...I ALSO CAN'T GET IN TO DO A NEWIE OR ACCESS MY STICKERS. I HAVE OPENED A NEW SB SITE CALLED LADY ANYA BUT NOW CAN'T USE MY HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF STICKERS.....CAN I HAVE MY STICKERS TRANSFERRED OVER INTO MY NEW ACCOUNT AND CLOSE MY OLD DAMAGED ONE???? PLEASE I AM DESPERATE...

I just signed up for scrapblog and have been playing around trying to get a feel for it. It's very cool, but I have a couple of questions. Is there any way to build a 'library' of the backgrounds, stickers, etc. that you have used on previous scrapblogs so that you can have easy access to them when building a new scrapblog? I've read on another post how you can add pages from other scrapblogs to the current one you are working on, but I was wondering whether it is possible to mix and match stickers, backgrounds, etc. from different themes onto the same page (e.g., use background from imported scrapbook page and use stickers from a QuickMix being used for current creation)? Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Christmas card printing

I have seen many people say they have printed their Christmas cards, birth announcements, etc from pages they have done in scrapblog. I have just picked up my first copy of my Christmas card that I sent to Walgreens to get printed after paying money to download it from scrapblog. I am VERY disappointed in how it looks.
1) What have I done wrong?
2) Those of you who HAVE printed your Christmas cards, etc. - where did you get them printed and on what kind of paper?

Hi everyone! I'm not exacly new to scrapblog but I'm new here in the forum! :) I've been using scrapblog for a long time now but today, no matter what I do, I cant upload any of my pictures. A notice comes up everytime I try that there might be something wrong with my internet connection but my internet is just fine. I just used scrablog yesterday and it didnt give me any problems. Anybody else having the same problem as I have? Please help me on how to resolve this problem.

credits and scrapblog limit?

Hi! I'm pretty new to scrapblog (but I LOVE it already!) and was wondering when I buy stickers, backgrounds and other things, where will I be able to access them? I'm kind of afraid of buying things and then them not being saved in my profile or not knowing how to find them.

Oh and how many scrapblogs can I make? Is there a limit? And if, is there some way i can see how much space i have still left?

PNG files?

I got some .png files from one of the Digifree sites (just found out on here how to use them)and most of them work beautifully. But some of them, mostly the horizontal ribbons but some others too, just never sharpen up when I try to use them. Has anyone else had this problem and maybe come up with a solution? These are really beautiful files and I really want to be able to use them.

Couple of bugs in new builder?

#1 - The re-organize button in the drop down menu doesn't work for me. However, the pages can be re-arranged by clicking on the pages in the tray and moving them manually w/the mouse.

#2 - I use photobucket. All albumns come up and you can select pics with no problems that I've found, HOWEVER, sub-albumns are not accessible. For instance, I have one albumn named "Elements." Sub-albumns/subcategories under my Elements albumn include things like "birthday elements," "baby elements," "wedding elements," etc. I cannot get to these sub-albumns.

#3 - I'm working on a new albumn, and can not import pages from an existing albumn(s). Have I overlooked the action. (It's not on the "gears" icon -- I looked. lol)

Help anyone?

I posted this in the Feedback forum, but just wanted to place it here for those who don't go there....
I ll say this again: I know SB needs to make the money, obvious.
But this way it's getting out of my reach :(
this is what I posted in *Why the changes?* in the other forum.

and one more change which makes it really, really difficult for me to keep on... I was just finishing a SB I made of the third week of our trip, and when I tried to open a page of an old SB, it doesn't have that possibilty anymore....
There is also the fact that, because of the new *packs* my purchased stickers have all been changed of order, so I'm not sure where anything is anymore (I knew by when I bought them, I knew the page each sticker was in) which in 18 pages of stickers is not little time to browse...)
It also brings the *packs* page every time one clicks to search for anything, no matter what, it keeps taking you to that...
I almost had a heart attack when I clicked the first time after the changes in search for my purchased stickers and told me *sorry you dont have any*
I know is a silly thing, one just clicks on STickers in the left side of the page and it goes there...but for someone with my athrosis, arthritis and many other health problems which make at time my right side of the body go paralyzed, is not a nice perspective...

I know you need to make the money....but I'm dissapointed by the way this is going, sorry...:)

The builder's new layout is cool, easier to navigate the pages, and the program as usual: has no rival.
I just hope the possibility of some kind of premium membership comes into effect sooner rather than later, for people like me...
I have spend money in Scrapblog (and you guys know is not little money I'm talking about) and don't wanna stop doing so...it's just that it's getting out of my league... :(
